Meet the Hartstrom Family

Kirk and Sarah Hartstrom live in Bridgeport, California. They have been married since September 2006, and have an infant son, Caleb David (1 year). Kirk works for Mono County, providing IT support. He and Sarah enjoy spending time together, gardening, hiking, and exploring their area.

As single adults, Kirk and Sarah both spent time serving with ministries, including the Institute in Basic Life Principles. Kirk worked with the IBLP Prison Ministry in Little Rock, Arkansas, and Sarah worked at IBLP Headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. Sarah’s parents, Dana and Fayrene Dickey, often share their life experiences with others, including testimonies about courtship and home management.

Kirk and Sarah experienced a season of waiting on God regarding His timing for marriage. Though they were interested in each other in 2001, they knew they needed to wait for God to prepare them before establishing their family. Through the time of waiting, they experienced a deepening of their walks with God and are now rejoicing in His leading in their lives.
