TESOL

Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages

From the countryside of Taiwan to the neighbor next-door, there are many opportunities to reach various people groups through the ministry of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). To prepare for this ministry, IBLP is hosting two- or three-week intensive courses that cover the basics of TESOL and equip people to minister through it.

This summer’s TESOL course will be taught by Audra Wolfley and held in conjunction with the VOICE program for Taiwanese youth. TESOL students will have opportunities to interact with the Taiwanese students through combined English classes, activities, and mealtimes. Students can expect to be challenged and inspired as they receive a vision and necessary skills for impacting the world through Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

Tim Havlik “I received great benefit from the academic quality and the spiritual richness of this three-week course. Our teacher involved us in scores of interactive exercises designed to help us communicate to different types of learners. This training will be very practical as I pursue God’s calling on my life to overseas missions.” —Tim Havlik
